Every person, place and price here is invented. They show the shape of the work, not anyone's actual affairs.
Selling a camera: one session, one review that changed the answer
After the session, the topic folder holds this:
| README.md | The goal, where things stand, the next step, what is open, and three rules learned ("sold listings, not asking prices, set the anchor") |
| decisions.md | Asking 95, floor 80. State the shutter count. Local pickup only. Each with its reason and what was ruled out |
| sessions/ | One short note: done, decided, tried and ruled out, snags and how each ended |
| reviews/ | The file that was sent, each vendor's answer, and a table of what was done with every objection |
| listing.md | The draft, not posted. Posting waits for the owner's word |

Requests that work well
A decision with money in it
"desk quote-kitchen. Three quotes attached. Which one, and what should I ask each before deciding?"
A text other people will read
"desk landlord-letter. Draft the letter about the leak. Firm, not hostile. Do not send anything."
Research where being wrong costs
"desk visa-options. Which of these three routes fits my case? Official sources only, and tell me what you could not verify."
A small project over weeks
"desk garage-sale. Plan it in phases. Start with what is cheap and already waiting."
Looking, not touching
"desk shop-stats. Open my shop dashboard and tell me which five listings got views but no messages." Read-only by default.
Picking up later
"desk garage-sale" in a new session, a week on. It reads the notes and proposes the next step.
What the Desk does so you do not have to
You should not have to learn habits from a website. The Desk carries them, each at the moment it matters:
- You did not say what "done" looks like. It proposes it, marked as its assumption, and carries on.
- A second subject shows up. It notes it under its own topic and carries on.
- A review changed its answer. It tells you what changed and where to read the objection.
- The session got long. It proposes the close. A fresh session on good notes is cheaper and sharper.
- You come back after a week. It opens with where things stand, what went stale, and the move it would make next.
- It found something you did not ask about. A risk, a cheaper path. It says so once, with the evidence, and drops it if you say no.
Type desk with no topic for a brief across everything: what is waiting on you, what is waiting on someone else, and the one thing it would do today. Prefer an assistant that only does what it is asked? Say "just do what I ask".
